Parents

The goal of the Lakeville North Boys In-House Basketball program is to provide an opportunity for boys to learn the fundamentals of basketball,  teamwork, and good sportsmanship.  We strive to provide equal playing time across all positions with age-appropriate rules & expectations.

The success of our program depends on parent volunteers for the in-house program. Please consider volunteering as a Coach.

K -1st GRADE IN HOUSE CLINIC

Parents:  

We are looking forward to a great year, the K-1 clinics are run by Coach Oxton and his staff. We will need parent volunteers to Coach individual teams and a level director. This is a great program for K-1 players!

The success of our program depends on parent volunteers for the in-house program. Please consider volunteering as a Coach. 

Level Director: Amanda Barker

Players will have 7 Saturday Clinics occurring on 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10 and 12/17.    There will be one session from 10:50 to 11:50 and a second session from Noon to 1:00pm  each Saturday.

Coach Oxton and his staff will run each clinic except one week when the assigned Coaches will run the clinic for their teams.

We need parent volunteers to help coach this clinic

Clinics are at Lakeview Elementary (LVE). Coaches will contact players by email  with specific details.

Cost:       $65 for registration.

 

 


2nd GRADE IN-HOUSE BASKETBALL

Parents:  

We are looking forward to a great year! We need parent volunteers for coaching and level coordinator. 

The success of our program depends on parent volunteers for the in-house program. Please consider volunteering as a Coach.   

Level Coordinator: Shannon Doyle

TEAMS #1 to #4 will play from 8:15 am to 9:30 am. Teams #5 to #8 will play from 9:45 am to 11:00 am. 

Players will have 8 Saturday practices, they will be on 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17 and 1/7. Practices are at a Eastview Elementary (EVE). 

Coaches will contact players with specific details.

3rd Grade In-House Basketball

Parents:  

We are very excited for the season to begin. The kids will have two practices a week and games on Saturdays. We need parent volunteers for coaching and level coordinator. 

The success of our program depends on parent volunteers for the in-house program. Please consider volunteering as a Coach. 

Level Coordinator: Nate Olsen

The practices will begin  the week of October 23, 2022  and will run through January 28, 2023. Games will be on 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21 and 1/28. 

Practices are at a Lakeview Elementary (LVE) and games are played at JFK and McGuire.  Coaches will contact players with specific details.

Cost: $165 for Registration, the registration deadline is October 15.

 


4th Grade In-House Basketball

Parents:  

We are looking forward to a great year this year.  We need parent volunteers for coaching.

Level Coordinator: Sarah Lambert

Players will have games on 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28 and 2/4. There will be an end of the year tourney and 1-2 practices per week starting the week of October 23, 2022 

All players will need to attend an evaluation so teams can be formed evenly. Please check in 15 minutes early to receive a tryout pinny. 

Evaluations for 4th grade players will be held at Kenwood Middle School.

Thursday, October 13th, 2022

6:45pm - 7:30pm

This is done so the teams can be made as even as possible and provide a good experience for all players. Players will need to attend this evaluation even if you tried out for traveling. 

Practices will be at Cherryview elementary school and games will be at JFK and McGuire. Games will be 5 on 5 with paid officials. There will be an end of the year tournament.

7th & 8th Grade In-House Basketball

EXPANDED OFFERING!   

For the past few years we have had some kids participate in a league specifically for In House basketball based out of Burnsville.  We need parent volunteers for coaching

2022 Registration Cost :  $200.00   

All participants will get a Lakeville North Basketball T-Shirt!   

Jerseys will be provided by the association.   

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:  

  • Practices start 1-2 practices every week 
  • Saturday games at a local south metro school
  • Practices begin the week of November 14th.  
  • Games typically starting in early December weekly until late February.  
  • End of the season tournament.  

 

 


Coaches Training/Certification

Concussion Training is MANDATORY for all coaches and certification will be required at the Coaches Meeting. The following links will lead to free online certification courses:

Choose one course to complete and print out your certificate upon completion. Your certification is good for two consecutive seasons.
